Luminus aims to assist its customers in reducing their CO2 footprint through innovative energy-saving solutions and renewable energy. Luminus’ legal managers fully support the realization of the Luminus strategy by providing pragmatic legal advice.

Under the supervision of the Senior Legal Manager, you will provide legal assistance to our colleagues from the Production department with a focus on the development, construction and operation of wind turbine projects and related services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to experience the energy transition firsthand in a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:

  • You participate in the drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of contracts (real rights, collaboration agreements, purchasing contracts, power purchase agreements etc.) and notary deeds.
  • You coordinate and provide proactive legal advice regarding permit procedures and appeals as well as complaints from public authorities and regulators.
  • You monitor legal issues relating to the operational activities/construction of production assets in close collaboration with the Insurance Specialist.
  • You assist in the corporate transactions (incorporation of new companies, capital increases etc.) and corporate housekeeping of the wind affiliates of Luminus.
  • You assist in the preparation of investment decisions relating to production assets.
  • You organize trainings and assist the business in implementing evolving legislation.
  • You keep the template database for the Production department up to date.
  • You work closely with our external legal advisors.
  • You collaborate closely with the colleagues from the legal team, organize internal legal training sessions and contribute to standardization efforts.
  • Depending on your interests, you will have the opportunity to broaden your expertise by working on other projects.

Job requirements

  • You have a Master’s degree in law.
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant in-house legal experience or relevant professional experience in a law firm.
  • You can demonstrate a solid knowledge of administrative law, real estate law and contract law or at least you are willing to learn and specialize in these areas.
  • You have a keen interest in the energy sector and the energy transition.
  • You can easily analyse complex issues and explain them in understandable terms to your colleagues.
  • You enjoy communicating and working together with teams with different profiles.
  • You enjoy learning from and helping your colleagues
  • You are able to work independently, structured and well organized.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
