The importance of your role!
As Senior Manager HR operations at Luminus you are key in the further development of the wider HR department. This implies that you will not only be responsible to deliver with your team a correct payroll and personnel administration above all, you will be aiming for a structural improvement in all processes related to your domain and you carry out that drive to the rest of the team. You will ensure continuous improvement of our processes and in line with GDPR. As you will act as the SPOC for all internationals moves in or out of Belgium you have a good understanding of the relevant international social security, labour law and tax context.
You are also responsible for the day-to-day follow-up, coaching, motivation and development of your team. You ensure consistent communication and form a bridge between your team and the HR management team. You report to the Director Reward & HR Services.
Under your supervision, for instance…
the correct and timely payment of wages and wage components via the wages system (SAP HR system in collaboration with SD Worx); the administrative follow-up of the various reward plan; the provision of a correct payroll; the correct registration of employees; the follow-up of absences; the administrative management of suspensions; the management of time-related data; the payroll management of specific statutes such as expats and split payrolls; the administration of various employee insurance files within Luminus and, last but not least, ensuring all kinds of questions from employees concerning personnel administration are anticipated via adequate brochures and Q&A on our intranet.
In addition, you ensure that …
… a professional social security/tax/labour law support is given to our employees leaving or
arriving in Belgium, therefore you will work closely with our tax consultant to seek their advice
and with your team to ensure a perfect execution;
… the payroll and administrative processes are improved in a structural manner aligned with the GDPR requirements, in conjunction with the wider HR team;
… projects and (more) complex files are carefully managed together with your team;
… we correctly apply social and fiscal legislation, sectoral rules and internal agreements, and that your knowledge and that of the team in this domain remains up-to-date.
You will be responsible for the operational organisation of your team, which means, among other things …
… managing the overall priorities, establishing and maintaining backup systems, and realising an optimal service;
