As Digital architect your main responsibility is to translate wishes and business needs into solutions.
As technical expert you will be directly involved in any major new developments to bridge the gap between business requirements and high-level design.
You will work on diverse digital initiatives that (could) require architectural changes and making use of the newest technologies.
Support the enterprise architect in defining Luminus IT architecture strategies based on medium to long term needs and best practices in the market
Collaborate with enterprise architect and infrastructure architect in validating delivery choices and ensure compliance of projects/applications with overall architecture and security guidelines
Ensure that the solutions effectively and efficiently support customer and business requirements
Be a change driver of our digital architecture and way of working transformation based on MACH architecture principles (Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless) and a modern technolody stack.
LIST OF ACTIVITIES
Deliver solution models and solution architectures in line with business requirements to deliver business value
Work in close collaboration with the project stakeholders to understand the business requirements so that recommended solution options provide the best fit against requirements (the WHY) and budget
Assess the impact of business change requests on the existing architecture and support the prioritization of these changes
Build and maintain our digital architectural vision and roadmap
Participate in technology selection (f.i. software within our Digital architecture, software development tooling, …)
Understand the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) drivers and contribute to keep their evolution under control
Provide supervision and guidance to development teams ensuring adherence to the digital standards and guidelines
Provide expert advice to stakeholders on how to best align business processes
Collaborate with peer architects in providing consensus-based IT solutions that are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs
Work with external and internal suppliers to ensure that the appropriate technology direction is clear
Exploring the market on new technologies and in helping our DevOps teams
Ensure correct and up-to-date application architecture artefacts

Able to explain complex technical solutions in plain English, French or Dutch allowing to evaluate options and take the right decisions
Have strong listening, communication, facilitation, influencing and analytical skills as well within an IT as Business workshop context

BACKGROUND
The ideal candidate holds a master degree in exact sciences (preferably in IT) or have attained comparable level through relevant experience
Have a proven track record of working on successful digital solution architecture designs and their implementation;
Good understanding of Typescript, NestJS (Node), NextJS (React), Microservices, OpenAPI, Azure and AWS
Sufficient technical and programming knowledge to correctly evaluate migration, trials and development strategies
