Privacy Statement for applicants (30/06/2022)

When submitting your application or résumé, you declare that you have read the Privacy Statement below. If you do not want us to use your data as described below, please do not submit any résumé or application.

This Privacy Statement for applicants explains:

  • which information we collect during the application and recruitment process;
  • how we use this information;
  • which technical means we use to process your data;
  • who gets access to your data;
  • how long we keep your data;
  • how you can consult and update the data we collect about you;
  • how we secure your data;
  • whom you can contact if you have any questions or comments.

Which information do we collect?

This Privacy Statement applies to any data that we receive from you and collect and process about you within the framework of your application and the subsequent recruitment process or for inclusion on our reserve list.

Such data include: identification and contact data, personal characteristics (such as gender and date of birth), education and work experience (including grade points, certificates, degrees, references), job preferences, strengths, fields of interest, hobbies, videos, sound fragments, financial data (e.g. present and desired salary), any information from your résumé, any visible information from your LinkedIn profile and other social media or public websites, and any other information which you communicate to us orally or in writing within the framework of your application.

How do we use your data?

Your data shall be used within the framework of the application and recruitment process, including for the following purposes:

  1. assessing your skills, qualifications and interests within the framework of our career opportunities;
  2. controlling your data, checking references and/or performing background checks (where applicable);
  3. communication regarding the recruitment process and your application;
  4. making improvements to Luminus’ application and recruitment process.

Processing for purposes 1, 2 and 3 above is necessary for the possible development of an agreement between you and Luminus, and processing for purpose 4 relies on Luminus’ legitimate interest to improve its processes, based on the course of the application and recruitment process with you.

Who does get access to your data?

Your data can be shared within Luminus.

Within these entities the following employees have access to your data:

  • HR employees;
  • managers.

In certain cases technical employees can get access to your data, though only as may be necessary to ensure the smooth operation of our technical systems.

Your data can also be shared with Luminus’ subsidiaries (https://edfluminus.edf.com/nl/edf-luminus/wie-we-zijn/onze-partnerships). If such is the case this processing shall be performed according to this Privacy Statement and the purposes described above (in which case all references to EDF Luminus shall be read as references to this entity).

Luminus can use external service providers or third parties for certain of the purposes described above (e.g. recruitment websites, consultants or performing of background checks). In this case access to your data shall be limited to the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, with due regard for the requirements of the applicable privacy legislation.

How long do we keep your data?

The data of applicants shall be kept for a period of maximum 24 months following the moment from appliance.

In the event of a recruitment, your data shall be stored in your personnel file.

Consultation and rectification of your data

You have the right to consult, rectify or erase your data as well as the right to transfer the personal data that you have disclosed to us.

You shall remain liable for the data that you have disclosed to us and for the consequences thereof. It is not permitted to disclose data violating the obligations concerning privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property or business secrecy of third parties, unless the data subjects or the entitled parties have given their explicit consent hereto (in favour of EDF Luminus, for the purposes mentioned above). When communicating references you also guarantee that you have informed the data subjects of the processing of their personal data as described herein.

Security of your data

We protect our information systems against unauthorised access. Moreover, we have implemented appropriate technical, physical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised or accidental erasure, alteration or disclosure as well as against abuse, damage and theft.

Changes to this Privacy Statement

Changes to this Privacy Statement are made on a regular basis. The latest version can always be found on this page. The date of the latest modification is mentioned in the header of the document. Please check regularly whether a new version has been published, as such changes shall apply to your data on the publication date.

Personal data in the sense of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 ("GDPR") will be processed by Luminus in accordance with this regulation.
